ZANZIBAR INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS, AUDITORS AND TAX CONSULTANTS (ZIAAT) is a body corporate which was established through an Act of House of Representatives (Act Number 07/2022) with the aim of enhancing quality of services offered by Accountants, Auditors and Tax Consultants, ensuring attainment, maintenance and development of professional competence and promoting knowledge and the highest standards of professional competences. The Institute operates under the President’s Office, Finance and Planning in Zanzibar and its official launching date to carrying out mandated functions was 4th November, 2023.
