PROFILE

CPA Ame Burhan Shadhil is the Executive Director and Registrar at Institute of Accountants, Auditors and Tax Consultants - Zanzibar. He previously worked as a Deputy Accountant General at the Ministry of Finance and Planning - Zanzibar, he also served as a Chief Accountant at different Ministries in Zanzibar. He has over 25 years’ work experience in accounting, auditing, Finance and Economic.

CPA Ame has a strong desire to work in team, with people with different races, cultures and backgrounds, effectively at managing financial and auditing performance. He takes on every challenge head - on and does what he need to accomplish his goals, even when the challenge is difficult. He always enjoys stepping up and demonstrating his skills at the new task. CPA Ame holds a Master of Economic Development from KDI School of Public Policy and Management - South Korea, a Master of Science Finance from University of Strathclyde – Scotland and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from University of Dar es Salaam. He is a Member of National Board of Accountants, and Auditors (NBAA) - Tanzania, he holds CPA and Diploma of IPSAS from NBAA. He holds certificates in Data Analysis, Financial Modelling & Analysis, and Risk Management from Difference Institution.

EXPERIENCE IN GOVERNMENT

CPA Ame has been appointed to serve on different Boards of Directors as a Member of the Board. Among of them, as a Member of the Board of Zanzibar Institute of Accountants, Auditors and Tax Consultants (ZIAAT), Member of the Board of Zanzibar Broad Casting Corporation (ZBC), Member of the Board of Zanzibar Petroleum Regulatory Authorities (ZPDC) and Member of the Technical Debt Management Committee - Tanzania (TDMC).
